Imperialism
Many western countries seek to serve as the police of the world, invading other nations under the guise of “liberation.” Not only does imperialism make such countries in need of "liberation" worse off (through the use of drone strikes and further destabilization that lead to a greater degree of suffering), but imperialist countries in the west have no actual intention of liberty. It’s far more profitable to exploit such countries, as many nations (especially the United States with Middle Eastern resources) have; imperialism has no intent of generosity and instead seeks to dominate and control by means of aggression.
Support indigenous resistance, not foreign conquest.
